So Friday is the winter solstice. The darkest day or D-Day.
Friday marks the day of the year when it goes dark to light as daytime begins to get longer.
A report was issued on Thursday that stated Acting AG Matt Whitaker would not have to recuse himself in overseeing Special Counsel James Comey and his “Russian Collusion” saga.
More importantly for today, Whitaker can also do what President Trump requested three months ago and release the declassified FISA warrants.
While many items seem to be aligned for a news drop on Friday, as a seasoned news pro dropping important information today would not be very impactful since most Americans have already checked out for the Christmas holiday.
No today is the day you drop news in the late afternoon that you don’t want Americans to notice.
So we will just have to wait for a possible announcement on a timeline for the release of the FISA information.
Jan. 2, 2019 seems to be the earliest we could see it. After nearly 10 days of holiday, Americans would come back to work and some key executive orders would also be activated at that time. It also would be a day before new House members take office.
