Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex trafficker awaiting trial on new charges died by suicide Friday night in his downtown Manhattan jail cell, three law enforcement officials told ABC News.

The death comes hours after a Federal appeals court across the street from Metropolitan Correction Center released 2,000 pages of testimony and dispositions from Epstein’s Florida conviction.
