US stock futures on the Dow Jones index Monday morning are pointing to another 1,050 point drop after Friday’s 1,985 point rise.
The equity futures have been limit-down overnight and could trigger a 15-minute halt as circuit breakers may kick in if the market opens this way in 2 hours. Global indices are all in the red with losses between 3% to 5% overnight.
Crude oil is below $30 a barrel, the lowest since 2016, and gold is selling off again down $35 an ounce.
I will be back later today as news and market conditions change. Look for multiple daily postings.
