First let me say my heartfelt prayers go out to the families of the 13 US service members and the scores of Afghanis killed in the terrorists attacks in Kabul on Thursday.
You know it did not have to be this way. President Joe Biden and his military and intelligence officials screwed this whole operation up so badly and now we have body bags coming to Dover Air Force Base.
Biden in a speech Thursday night said, “These ISIS terrorists will not win. We will rescue the Americans. We will get our Afghan allies out. And our mission will go on. America will not be intimidated.”
Not only is he compromised, he must also be delusional. Of course ISIS won. Because of this administration’s botched plans we have no mission. We are forced to evacuate in the most chaotic way possible from an unfortified airport instead of from Bagram Airfield, which Biden gave up to the Afghan army days before they all surrendered and fled.
If you don’t think this whole operation is screwed up I give you the words of Gen. Frank McKenzie, head of US Central Command from Thursday’s press conference.
“The threat from ISIS is completely real. We expect those attacks to continue and we are doing everything we can to be prepared for those attacks,” McKenzie said at a briefing. “That includes reaching out to the Taliban … to make sure they know what we expect them to do to protect us.”
The US military commanders are relying on the Taliban for our troops safety and security.
Good God.
God rest their souls and pray no other bombings take place.
