Cuomo trying to become Lazarus

Disgraced ex-Governor Andrew Cuomo would not rule out a bid to run against Gov. Kathy Hochul, saying: “I am more committed to fighting and fighting hard to do the right thing, so government works.”

The unfortunate part of that statement is the government did not work well under his control and actually killed many unsuspecting senior citizens in the process.

When asked after his speech at a Bronx church on Thursday if he will launch a bid to reclaim his old post in a primary challenge of Gov. Kathy Hochul — Cuomo’s lieutenant governor who took over after he resigned, becoming the state’s first woman governor — Cuomo said, “I am open to all options.”

“There is no doubt that there is no place where the tail is wagging the dog. One manifestation of extremism is the so-called cancel culture,” Cuomo charged during his speech blasting fellow members of the Democratic Party for their “radical” positions.

He left open the idea of running as a third-party candidate saying, “Cancel culture says if you don’t agree with me and my point of view, then you should be canceled. … It’s a social death penalty.”

While Cuomo takes credit for ushering in bail reform, which is why New York City has seen soaring crime he now says, “Extremists refuse to have a reasonable conversation,” but that “more changes are necessary” after the mid-2020 rollback because “crime is taking over the city.”

Typical double speak from Cuomo.

I would love for Cuomo to split the ticket and run as a third-party candidate. It would open the door for a Republican like Congressman Lee Zeldin to capture Albany and bring some sane leadership back.

The deadline for Cuomo to file is early April, so let’s see what happens.
