Epstein comes up short as a billionaire

Convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein comes up a little short when it comes to being a billionaire.

Almost by half as the mysterious financial professional personal wealth is listed in court documents as being $560 million.

Epstein’s assets breakdown as such according to court filings::

  • Cash: $56,547,773
  • Fixed income: $14,304,679
  • Equities: $112,679,138
  • Hedge funds and private equity: $194,986,301
  • Properties including:
    9 E. 71st St., Manhattan, worth $55,931,000;
    49 Zorro Ranch Road, Stanley, NM, $17,246,208;
    358 El Brillo Way, Palm Beach, Fla., $12,380,209;
    22 Avenue Foch, Paris, France, $8,672,823;
    Great St. James Island in the Virgin Islands, $22,498,600, and
    Little St. James Island,  $63,874,223.

The total assets listed are $559,120,954.

Epstein, who is accused of sex trafficking, made the filing as part of Monday’s hearing on whether to grant him bail. Federal Judge Richard Berman reserved judgment on the bail motion.

The feds are fighting the motion claiming Epstein is a flight risk with means to fight extradition.
