Let’s take a look at what our New York politicians are doing with our tax dollars and wonder why we are still living here.
State Attorney General Letitia James sponsored a “Drag Story Hour” in Greenwich Village over the weekend, which not only cost the state the performance fee, but also had additional spending from NYPD and the City Council’s Sergeant-at-Arms squad, which was on hand to provide security for at least a half-dozen city lawmakers who showed up for the event.
This week Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg alleges he will charge former President Donald Trump on a $130,000 payment Trump’s former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen paid to porn star Stormy Daniels to buy her silence about an alleged sexual encounter she had with the real estate mogul in 2006.
In the James case she should have Child Protective Services looking into the “parents” that would bring their children to a “Drag Story Hour” to be read to in a highly sexualized event than sponsoring it.
In Bragg’s case he should be taking care of the cases that affect Manhattan residents, who have been harmed by his relaxed bail reform. Not open a case that even Special Federal Prosecutor James Comey — in the midst of dementia — could not bring charges against Trump.
The Democrats brought two impeachments against Trump and neither one contained charges against him referring to Daniels, but somehow Bragg’s office has found the smoking gun at the same time President Joe Biden and his son Hunter are being scrutinized by House Republicans for their antics in Ukraine and China.
There should be a new line added to the song “New York, New York”.
“If you can make here, why would you want to stay here.
It’s up to you New York, New York.”
