World leaders' Charlie Hebdo photo op has image problem

The photo of 40 world leaders uniting with more than one million marchers to honor the victims of the Paris shootings a week ago was little more than a staged photo op, according to the British newspaper The Independent. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/paris-march-tv-wide-shots-reveal-a-different-perspective-on-world-leaders-at-largest-demonstration-in-frances-history-9972895.html

The image splashed across newspapers around the world showed  Francois Hollande, David Cameron, Angela Merkel and others arms linked in a unity in outrage. The photo op was all pomp with no unity as a second image of the event reveals that the stages photo was taken on a guarded, deserted Paris street far away from the common horde protesting the killings of Charlie Hebdo artists.
