DC politicians are sweeping upcoming Covid-19 depression under the rug

Have all the politicians in Washington lost their minds?

How are they still playing partisan politics with Covid-19 relief for Americans?

People have died and lives have been ruined due to the economic disaster of the pandemic and they are fighting over giving these Americans $600. What in the hell will one payment of $600 do for people who lost their jobs, homes and marriages during this pandemic?

Any relief measure must include ongoing unemployment benefits for those workers who have lost their jobs because of the economic shutdown caused by Covid-19. These people are literally in the millions and can be found on the long food lines across the country.

And yet the White House proposal on Tuesday wants to eliminate a $300 per week employment benefit as stated by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

While both parties say a deal must be done before they adjourn for the Christmas break, passing a bare-bones benefit will not make for a cheerful holiday for many Americans.

Beginning in January, many of the safeguards put in place for renters and homeowners will expire causing a cascade of evictions and foreclosures affecting as many as 12 million Americans, according to latest statistics.

At the moment, $70 billion in unpaid back rent and utilities are set to come due, according to a new report via Moody’s Analytics Chief Economist Mark Zandi.

Yet not one politician in DC has even addressed this horrific fact.

Certainly a one-time $600 check will not cover this.

2021 will be a dire year for many Americans due to Covid-19 fallout.
