How could Baghdadi’s death divide the US?

The Army Ranger operation to take out ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi should have been received as welcome news by America.

The fact that it was not appreciated by many shows just how divided the country is right now.

Case in point was the Washington Post’s obit headline on Baghdadi, which called him “austere religious scholar at the helm of Islamic State”. The Post said the headline was “written in haste”. I worked in newspapers for a while and most of my headlines were written on deadline. However I don’t believe I ever made such a blunder as that.

Follow that up with the treatment of Trump and his wife at the World Series game Sunday night in Washington. As the President appeared on the stadium’s large screen a chorus of boos and lock him up chants.

I really don’t know how this split ends but it will probably not be until 2024. If that’s the case, then the divide may be irreparable.

  1. What was seen is the representation of liberal/democrat metropolitan areas that are dominated by anti Trumpers which is to be expected, it does not account for flyover state of the US. Flyover states have become more aware of this trend and there senses have sharpened thanks to the 2016 election. A stadium full of liberals gives them the illusion that they’re the dominant faction and that false sense will be their downfall. Division has always been part of US daily life and the MSM only magnifies it creating the illusion of massive chaos.

  2. Good point, nbkilgore!!! The simple fact is that when push comes to shove, the liberals will back down!! Just TRY & take away the guns of the Rednecks!! 🙂 It seems to me the liberals are SO out of touch with Reality that it is going to smack them in the face pretty hard once it hits!!

We all need to get back to what is the base of our country…..The Constitution!!! If you don’t like it, go live in some other country that you approve of!!! It is a sad state of affairs when liars & cheats have risen to the top of our governing circles!! We should be thankful for a President who is trying to restore Rule of Law!!!
