Well the Project Veritas news was less than the hype, which is usually the case with announced news.

ABC News network anchor Amy Robach speaks on having the entire Jeff Epstein story three years ago after convincing Virginia Roberts Giuffre to tell her story, bit the network refused to run the piece.

I would venture to guess Robach is one of many reporters who knew about Epstein and either did not dive into the subject or were steered off it by others.
