Dr. Anthony Fauci’s virus research funding is going viral again.

As I reported many months ago, newly released documents show Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases funded — through EcoHealth Alliance — gain-of-function research of Covid virus in the Wuhan lab.

The new documents also detail that NIAID was to be alerted to any Covid virus research in writing before moving forward with the project.

On at least two occasions Fauci testified before Congress stating the US “has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”

On Tuesday Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) took to Twitter to say, “Surprise surprise – Fauci lied again And I was right about his agency funding novel Coronavirus research at Wuhan.”

Paul later tweeted that he was referring the case to the Justice Department alleging that Fauci lied to Congress in his earlier testimony.

Fauci has been an impediment since the beginning of the pandemic when he told Americans you did not need masks, only to flip-flop on that once supplies became available.

The health chief also denied for a year that the virus was released from the Wuhan lab (the same lab he funded), while evidence amassed that it could not have come from a wet market.

Fauci’s actions during the pandemic appear to border on the arsonist claiming to be a hero for calling the fire department first.

I believe it’s time for Fauci to retire from his highest paid federal position.
