J6 rally was a cop convention

The “Justice for J6” rally held over the weekend in Washington DC had more undercover federal agents than protesters.

Many viral videos and photos show “undercover” feds — labeled as Fedbois — milling around the small number of actual protesters. All in all four arrests were made including an armed federal agent who was dressed like an Antifa protester. He was soon released after providing ID.

Media coverage suggested that the low turnout was a result of waning support for former President Donald Trump.

However, last week Trump told supporters that the rally was fake news.

“On Saturday, that’s a setup,” Trump told the Federalist, appearing to pre-empt the claims that his political influence is decreasing. “If people don’t show up they’ll say, ‘Oh, it’s a lack of spirit.’ And if people do show up they’ll be harassed.”

One witness to the rally suggested that police, journalists and federal agents surely outnumbered actual protesters at Capitol Hill on Saturday.

Trump said that he believes individuals who are being detained or prosecuted for partaking in the Jan. 6 protest on Capitol Hill are “being persecuted” by the federal government. Many still sit in jail awaiting a hearing on charges. No one yet has been charged with a felony crime.

“In addition to everything else, it has proven conclusively that we are a two-tiered system of justice,” Trump wrote in a statement. “In the end, however, JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL!”

The former president was referring to all those arrested for firebombing a federal court house in Portland and other violent demonstrations after the death of George Floyd last summer and were released right away with most having their charges dropped.
