Trump’s day in court

Today is an historic day for this country.

Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to surrender to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office to be arraigned on criminal charges tied to the Stormy Daniels “hush money” payment.

Trump now becomes the first former president to be criminally indicted in history.

Trump on Monday called for Bragg to resign over his politically motivated charges that both federal and state prosecutors refused to indict over.

The ex-president’s lawyers have worked out how the process will happen.

Trump’s arraignment is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. today in Manhattan Supreme Court.

The ex-president is set to turn himself in to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office two hours before the court hearing.

Ironically, Trump will likely be released on his own recognizance after his arraignment due to New York’s bail reform laws, which require that defendants in non-violent felonies be freed without bail unless they are considered a flight risk.

He has promised to “deliver remarks” from his Mar-a-Lago resort about this Tuesday night.

Should anything deviate from what I just laid out you can blame Bragg’s office for grandstanding even more than just bringing the indictment.
