Congressional bill introduce to ban vaccine passports

A Republican House member has introduced a bill late last week to ban the use of CoVid-19 passports.

Arizona Representative Andy Biggs introduced a bill called the “No Vaccine Passports Act” that bans federal agencies from issuing passports documenting a person’s COVID-19 vaccine status.

“I am profoundly disturbed that the Biden Administration would even consider imposing vaccine passports on the American people. My private healthcare decisions—and yours—are nobody else’s business.  Vaccine passports will not help our nation recover from COVID-19; instead, they will simply impose more Big Brother surveillance on our society,” said the Republican House member.

The bill would also prohibit the requirement to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to access federal property or services, or for access to congressional grounds or services.

The proposed legislation follows states efforts to ban vaccine passports. The governors of Florida, Texas, Utah, and Idaho have banned the use of vaccine passports in their states.

However, New York was the first state to institute the passports.

While the Biden administration is not thinking of implementing vaccine passports it is ready to “support” companies who are pursuing the technology, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said on Sunday.

“We don’t view this as the role of the government, to create or mandate any kind of vaccine passport — but these technologies are there,” Buttigieg said when asked whether he supported airlines requiring customers provide vaccination documentation in order to fly.

“Private sector is working on them,” Buttigieg said. “We’re interested in following that, providing any kind of technical advice or support where needed.”

Buttigieg’s response sounds very similar to the Georgia voting rules boycott by the private sector. The Biden administration will not mandate the passport, but will support any business that implements it.

This is why conservatives need to vote with their wallets and support businesses that aren’t in the pockets of the leftists.
