The left’s protests are heating up and how Republicans should respond

As I wrote last week we are in dangerous times as liberal activists — feeling emboldened — continue to confront Republicans in public.

The continuation of public face offs will not end well for America. Escalation of the confrontations will take it to a threat level that will bring the country to a boil.

News coming out of Washington DC this month is said to be — by sources — earth-shattering to the status quo. So this animosity between the left and right — as a simplification of the participants — will only get more heated and perhaps violent.

While Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was confronted outside a restaurant over the weekend with just chants to abolish ICE in his home state of Kentucky, it is at least the second time he has been involved in a face-to-face showdown with activists.

One protestor shouted: “We know where you live, Mitch! We know where you live,” which should be a stern warning to McConnell’s protection detail and other Republicans that there are people out there who may wish to recreate the shooting of Republican lawmakers on the baseball field in Maryland.

The ultra left-wing of America feels like it has been losing every important battle since the 2016 presidential election and their blood is boiling. Contempt for President Trump and all things Republican is running so high that something big may happen to rock them to their core.

But before that happens, let’s hope the protestors keep to chanting and not take it to the next level. I believe releasing the unredacted Justice Department’s investigation into what the FBI’s actions were during and after the 2016 election would go a long way to showing the level of corruption from the left’s power center.

IG report needs to be declassified for all Americans to discover the DC swamp

The redacted Department of Justice Inspector General’s report on the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal e-mail server offered few new insights into what went on inside the FBI and Justice Department at the time, IG Michael Horowitz says.

Yes, President Trump is vindicated for firing FBI Director James Comey. The former G-man’s insubordination through his actions warranted his dismissal.

The ex-FBI Director broke with long-standing department standards in his handling of the Clinton investigation. As this report points out Comey wrote the final finding of this investigation before he even integrated Clinton and her top aides about the use of a private server.

As a quick aside, the report also revealed that Comey used his own personal e-mail account to send and receive classified government documents.

So Comey writes a report exonerating Hillary Clinton in the end of May 2016. He then interviews her on July 2, 2016 and announces she is clear of any wrongdoing on July 6th.

Horowitz does give us some reason to figure out why Comey would reopen the Clinton e-mail probe in October just weeks before the election.

It not only centered on Comey’s actions, but also the initial investigation was so shoddy in its execution, because the FBI principles behind the probe Peter Strzok and his texting buddy Lisa Page had biases, which however Horowitz says had little impact on the probe.

There’s this IM exchange on Aug. 6, 2016 between Strzok and Page:

Page:[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? right?

Strzok: No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.

This exchange happens in the midst of Strzok leading the probe into Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.

Since there are no recommendations from the IG’s report that any charges be brought against Hillary Clinton or any of her top aides, I think President Trump — through Executive Order — should declassify the entire study so Americans can see the truth about how the FBI acted and how the DOJ acted and the thought process of the Inspector General in the report.

This document is a product of the DC swamp, to protect the career operatives. There can be nothing better than exposing the harsh sunlight into this muck.

Lastly, truth be told, Comey for all his warts, never mentioned prior to the election that the FBI was looking into the Trump campaign and possible ties to Russia. He did open a probe into Hillary, then closed it. Then publicly announced he was reopening it.

I guess they all figured she would win.
