Get FISA out to change the narrative

Some people subscribe to the theory it is better to say “I’m sorry” than “may I”.

I say this as news broke overnight that Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker told Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham on Thursday that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation will proceed, according to a person familiar with the meeting.

The meeting between Graham and Whitaker comes as a some senators are pushing legislation to protect Mueller’s job since Whitaker has criticized in the past the sprawl of Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

I believe the Trump administration should take this under advisement and deploy the maxim I cited up top.

Would it not shake the world up if the administration released the original unredacted FISA warrants showing how the Democrats worked with the intelligence agencies both here and abroad to frame Trump and associates with Russian collusion.

It does not need to be an official release, but rather an informed leak followed up by an official announcement stating that while most of the story is quite true and we have documents that support it, the administration does not condone leaks and we demand ….

It changes the narrative and puts Democrats back on the defensive immediately. It also puts the Obama White House squarely in the midst of this scandal.

I’m not sorry to say this, but Mr. President, I say go for it.
