Like all good memes it has to have a ring of truth.

Well as protesters gathered outside the courthouse on Wednesday chanting “No justice, no peace,” among other slogans, which reports say could be heard in the court room, St. Louis “gun couple” Mark and Patricia McCloskey showed up to support Rittenhouse.

“We haven’t been in there to hear all the evidence,” Mark McCloskey told The Daily Wire, adding, “From what we understand, from what I’ve seen, I’m hoping for an acquittal on all counts.”

“We’re just here to support people who exercise their Second Amendment rights to defend themselves, particularly when the government abdicates that duty and fail to protect their citizens,” he added.

Two Black Lives Matter protesters were arrested for assaulting a pro-Rittenhouse supporter outside the courthouse.

Judge Bruce Schroeder also took on the media on Wednesday for its portrayal of the facts in the case.

“When I talked about problems with the media, when this trial started,” Judge Schroeder said, “we were there in part — not fully but in part — because of grossly irresponsible handling of what comes out of this trial.”

“I will tell you this,” Judge Schroeder continued, “I’m going to think long and hard about live television at trial again next time.”

I’ve “always been a firm believer in [live coverage] because the people should be able to see what’s going on,” the judge explained, “but what I see, what’s being done, it’s really quite frightening. Frightening, that’s the right word for it,” Schroeder concluded.

My belief is that the jury will come back with a verdict by Friday afternoon. They probably do not want to go through the weekend and certainly not over the Thanksgiving week.
