Biden’s supreme choice could clear the ticket

President Joe Biden pledged to pick a black woman to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, on Wednesday.

While there are many well-qualified candidates in the pool some have suggested that he would chooses his embattled Vice President Kamala Harris as a way to clear the way for another Veep choice.

What are the odds on that choice?

I would say slim to none, but it does allow Biden to choose a new Veep who could have higher polling numbers than either Democrat at the top of the party.

Today murdered NYPD officer Jason Rivera will be waked in front of the altar in St. Patrick’s Cathedral with thousands of fellow officers — both on the job and retired — standing guard on Fifth Ave.

Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch implored fellow New Yorkers who want this latest gun crime wave to end should come and honor this decreased hero.

“It can’t be just us,” he implored to the public. “The streets can’t just be full of New York City police officers at this funeral. The public has to come. The public has to send a message to anyone that dares to harm a New York City police officer. Not here, not now, not today, not to us. We are humbly asking you to come out and help us.”

NYPD officer Wilbert Mora, who died on Tuesday will be waked at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on next Tuesday with a funeral mass the following day.

New Yorkers should open their hearts to these heroes and turn their backs on any politicians showing up that still wish to defund the police and support bail reform.
