Democrats love the concept of “sanctuary city” status, yet when put into practice by southern Republican governors stressing their city services the progressives howl.

Case in point, as I wrote Thursday, when Air DeSantis landed his two planes on Martha’s Vineyard on Thursday, the tony island residents blasted the move.

Sure it’s fine to say our borders should be open during the swanky summer cocktail season, but when the Florida governor landed two planes — containing 50 migrants — on the same tarmac used by ex-President Barack Obama and other celebrities all hell breaks lose.

Consider this sentiment from an island native, “At some point in time they have to move to somewhere else. We don’t have the services to take care of 50 immigrants and we certainly don’t have the housing. We’re in a housing crisis as we are on this island. We can’t house everyone here who lives here and works here.”

Some “sanctuary city” you are.

The hypocrisy and lies run rampant on the left.

Take this in one-upmanship by Republican governors. Just after Ron DeSantis’s planes landed in Martha’s Vineyard, Texas Governor Greg Abbott had two buses drop off migrants in front of Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, DC.

Abbott wished to show the Veep just how secure the border is, since she told “Meet The Press” on Sunday that the border was secure or something like that during a 100-word salad answer.

I can only hope that by sending the human misery and suffering that the migrants have to endure to the steps of these liberal sanctuary cities that Democrats will finally open their eyes to the fact that open borders helps no one.

It only aids human traffickers, drug traffickers and other nefarious lowlifes looking to profit off human miseries. There is no human dignity in being used and abused at every turn for many migrants.
