Air DeSantis lands migrants on Martha’s Vineyard

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took the idea of relocating migrants to another level on Wednesday when the Republican lawmaker sent to planes full of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

The tony enclave of rich and powerful is a popular vacation destination beloved by progressive celebrities and politicians like former President Barack Obama, who owns a multimillion-dollar home on the island, saw the migrants hit the tarmac in Edgartown, Mass. on Wednesday

“States like Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states’ and support for the Biden administration’s open border policies,” said Taryn Fenske, Gov. DeSantis communication director.

“It is not the responsibility of Floridians to subsidize aliens to reside in our state unlawfully; we did not consent to Biden’s open-borders agenda,” The possible 2024 Republican presidential candidate said at the time of the program’s launch.

DeSantis’s flights one ups Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s busing of migrants to Democratically controlled sanctuary cities like New York, Washington D.C. and now Chicago.
