Why so little coverage of the Yellow Vest protests?

Busy weekend on the drops with the overarching theme being what is being offered by the media — and what is not — to affect the narrative presented to citizens.

First case in point is the ongoing demonstrations in France with the Yellow Vests. Little coverage in the US of the thousands of people injured over the last month by police while the numbers of protestors grows. There have also been many protester deaths as a result of clashes with the police.

Cars burning near the Eiffel Tower as tens of thousands of French citizens demand changes to the socialist government policies. Why are we not seeing media coverage? Because the French protestors are asking for a halt to open border immigration and other EU initiatives, which are being pushed by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels and elsewhere.

We can hardly have the narrative playing out in the US that people globally abhor open borders while the Democrats push not fund a border wall.

Second case is the funding bill being worked on to keep the government open. The President wants roughly $6B for construction. The Democrats are hard-pressed to provide.

This really is a symbolic fight since the White House already has  the funding through last year’s military spending bill. No this fight is about optics and how far the liberals will take this fight. Will they close the government again over this issue?

Trump took responsibility for the first shutdown last month, however this one will be on the Senate and House liberal Democrats.

Will this lead to a split within their ranks? Perhaps as more centralist House Democrats — fearing a tough election coming up — challenge the far left with digging in their heels on this issue.

Last case is the continuing negative coverage of Q-Anon phenomenon being publicized in the media. The question posed is enlightening. If it is just a conspiracy theory, then why do hundreds of negative stories come up on a Google News search from major news outlets?

Why bother publicizing a fake moment? Why bother telling people not to look at it, if as many articles say, it is a fringe radical movement with a small following?

It falls under the line from “Hamlet” ““The lady [press] doth protest too much, methinks.”

Chuck & Nancy can’t defend their wall ‘outrage’

President Trump in his Oval Office speech on Tuesday night gave his most presidential appearance of his term.

Trump was passionate and reserved as he pointed out to the American people the dire need for border security. He concisely pointed out the carnage and mayhem being brought upon this country because of illegal aliens.

His best line of the night centered on the morality of building a wall. “People don’t build walls because they hate the people on the outside, they build walls because they love the people on the inside,” the President said.

Now realizing of course that we are too far down the shutdown road for this, but liberal left politicians spend $5 billion in a cocaine heartbeat on their different agendas.

So if it’s not the amount of money needed for the wall, what is the Democrats rational for not funding the President’s request besides not giving him an important victory now?

Neither Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer nor House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were able to inform the American people why they were against building the wall.

“It’s not as dangerous” as the President says. Is not an answer for the California police officer’s family and others cite by the President.

I’ll venture a guess as to why the liberals are against effective border security. The same reason the European Union is being overrun by Muslims. The globalists’ open borders agenda has brought out the yellow vests in force throughout France, Belgium and Germany to name a few.

Closing the border effectively would also reduce the Democratic Party’s ability to maintain its viability to recruit new members.

While all the parties will meet Wednesday to discuss further funding for border security,  nothing will come of it. So the ball will be in Trump’s court to declare a national emergency or a limited military action at the border to finish building sections not already funded and being constructed.

Chuck and Nancy chose the hill they wanted to die on, but could not give the American people the real reason for this futile effort.

It’s time for the President to move on to more important matters.

Western Europe rioters rejecting globalist agendas, chanting “We want Trump”

Quite a weekend with the death of former President George HW Bush. But I want to focus on the events that are getting little coverage here in the US.

Western Europe is exploding. Rioting in Paris over President Emmanuel Macron’s economic policies, which favors rich Parisians versus the people living in the countryside.

TV reports showed protesters chanting. “We want Trump,” while marching amongst burning cars.

Smaller but widespread rioting is taking place in Brussels and Germany with no reports in major media.

While western media point to Macron raising gas prices to combat environmental concerns of the rich, which don’t rely on their cars as much as the underlying cause of the protests.

The gilets jaunes or “yellow vests” crowd marched on the Arc de Triomphe and ironically set fire to dozens of cars harkens back to the Revolution Vive La Resistance that ultimately brought about Bastille Day and then end of royalty in France.

The French Revolution came about because of a tone-deaf monarchy raised taxes on basic food staples like bread and cheese of the citizenry. The suburban and rural population need to be able to travel by car, since the government has neglected to develop provincial alternate travel.

To raise the French Revolution is not out of the blue or purple actually, since the liberal left attempted to stage its own version of Revolution — Vive La Resistance — against President Trump in the run-up to the 2012 presidential election.

However the next two days in Washington will be about getting information to prosecute the resistance movement of Democrats conspiring to work against Trump getting elected.

Monday we have former Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Tuesday ex-FBI Director James Comey testifying before House committees on the abuses of the FISA court.

Federal attorney John Huber was slated Wednesday to update the House committee on his investigation of the Clinton Foundation, but that will need to be rescheduled since it’s the Federal holiday to mourn the death of President Bush.

Vive la difference between western Europe and the US. America has Donald Trump in the White House and the rioters have a Hillary Clinton-type leader, who have a globalist agenda, which screws the population and they have had enough with that.
