Trump, Barr begin unwinding Mueller’s collusion circus

Plenty of action taking place in the Department of Justice on Tuesday.

Attorney General Bill Barr and President Trump moved some important chess pieces that show some of the bad actors in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation team.

The entire Roger Stone prosecuting team out of the US Attorney’s Office for Washington DC. The team — consisting of former Mueller staff — bucked DOJ sentencing guidelines asking for 6-9 years in prison.

Immediately the DOJ issued a statement saying that was not its recommendation.

Trump then pulled the nomination of US Attorney for Washington DC, Jessie Liu, to the top job at the Treasury Dept. and Barr replaced her as the chief Fed prosecutor in DC. Liu was the boss of this rouge team, which got the process crime conviction.

Liu was replaced by Timothy O’Shea as DC prosecutor, who was waiting in the wings for Liu’s confirmation vote. Remember that this is the same office that is flip flopping on Lt. Gen Michael Flynn’s case.

Rep. Devin Nunes tipped his hand on the grander view of this staged revolt.

“The lawyers who stepped down today, the prosecutors who suggested 7 to 9 for Roger Stone. We believe that this is not going to be the only example. We believe there is other examples of things they did during the Mueller investigation that I think you and your listeners and the American people will be very interested to learn in the coming weeks.

“As we start to unpeel the onion of what the Mueller team was really doing. Because I would say this, when Mueller was appointed we have to ask ourselves, he walks in the door the first day and he said, “OK, show me all the evidence you got on the Russians?” They’re like, “Bob, sorry we don’t have any Russians here. We don’t have any evidence.” So what the hell did they do for two years? They set up an obstruction of justice trap. And they went after a whole lot of people who have now got sentenced. Some already served their time. And I think all of this has to be called into question now.”

This insurrection could be the tip of the iceberg with plenty of unsavory actions being uncovered on what the Mueller team did for two years while investigating the fake Russian Collusion case.

  1. I think the 4 DOJ lawyers quitting the Roger Stone case was a calculated Lawfare tactic…an attempt to discredit AG Barr, and likely more grounds for another impeachment. This scum will not stop until they are destroyed.
