President Trump left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Monday night and half the country went ballistic.
Screaming over the fact that he recovered enough that the medical team thought it prudent to release him. This same crowd howled over his short trip outside the hospital to wish his followers well while they held a vigil for his recovery.
The president demonstrated what true leadership entails. Get tested, set a plan of action to combat the virus and then suit up and show up to lead the country. Of course this in drastic conflict with the Joe Biden campaign, where more days than not they put a “lid” on his availability by 9 AM.
On Monday New York Times Op-Ed columnist Maureen Dowd was so off the rails that she questioned the integrity of the hospital itself on Twitter.
It’s one thing to disagree on policy and quite another to castigate a hospital for treating the president and releasing him. That crosses the border into the deranged category.
How is that an appropriate response? How can you not read Dowd’s tweet and not figure she was looking for an unsuccessful outcome to Trump’s treatment?
A quick aside, how do more than a dozen White House staffers test positive for the Covid-19 virus after a Rose Garden event announcing the Supreme Court nomination of Amy Coney Barrett?
Given the strict protocols on testing at the White House and the event being held outside where sunlight kills Covid-19 on contact, it seems hard to swallow that all those people — including First Lady Melania Trump — came down with the virus.
Always enjoy your observations, Michael!!! 😉
