Third woman accuser no charm for Gov. Cuomo

A third woman has come forward to accuse New York Governor Andrew Cuomo of unwanted sexual advances on Monday.

Cuomo and his senior staff have reportedly lawyered up with a prominent white-collar defense attorney, Elkan Abramowitz,  as the governor fights a dual-front attack on allegations of sexual harassment and Justice Department inquiries into COVID-19 deaths in the state’s nursing homes.

Monday also marked the third straight scheduled press conference by the Emmy-winning governor to be canceled or changed so no media could ask questions.

While I mentioned last month that New Yorkers should get to know Kathy Hochul, the Lieutenant Governor of New York, I now can see her moving to the Governor’s Mansion in Albany very soon.

With all these “facts” lining up against him, Cuomo has lost the support of the White House and the statehouse in Albany as well as local Congress members.

Democratic NY Attorney General Letitia James has launched a second Cuomo probe into the allegations of sexual harassment. This comes after releasing her damning investigation into the handling of Covid-19 nursing home patients and the under reporting of deaths.

Both NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and Hillary Clinton asked for an independent investigation into the sexual harassment charges on Monday.

Perhaps it’s time for Cuomo to open a storefront law firm in Hollis, Queens to help young men who get in trouble with the police while perhaps drinking with friends.
