Is there anything that’s more illustrative of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s ineffectiveness in office than Monday’s carting away the statue of Thomas Jefferson from the City Council chambers where it stood for 187 years?
The move comes after the result of a mayoral commission vote.
The far left’s revisionist history lessons will probably not age well, as snap back to common sense may soon prevail.
A case in point was de Blasio’s knee-jerk reaction on Twitter to the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict on Friday.

Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum are victims. They should be alive today. The only reason they’re not is because a violent, dangerous man chose to take a gun across state lines and start shooting people. To call this a miscarriage of justice is an understatement.
The fact that de Blasio is spreading lies over bring a gun across state lines on Friday after it was proven to be not true shows total disregard for the truth.
Now I know the mayor is a lawyer, so he should know by virtue of the self defense neither Huber and Rosenbaum are victims, but aggressors whose deaths were justified.
That is how the law works. Jury of your peers and yada, yada, yada.
But of course de Blasio and the left would take the side of a convicted pedophile and a domestic abuser. That just goes without saying.
Long rap sheets are a badge of honor on the left.
