Fox News Channel changed plans late yesterday on a reportedly blockbuster breaking news topic for Sean Hannity’s show to rerun a 2004 interview with George HW Bush.
Hannity was supposed to have guests including a whistleblower on the Clinton Foundation named Dennis Cain, who had the FBI raid his house on Nov. 19 despite already handing over copies of the documents to Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz and House and Senate Intelligence committees.
The exact reason for the raid is unknown now, but speculation ranges from the FBI wanting to secure the original documents to Clinton sympathizers within the Department of Justice needing to get hold of the documents to determine how damning it is.
Senate Judiciary chair Charles Grassley sent a letter on Nov. 30 and revealed Monday to FBI Director Christopher Wray requesting answers as to why a recognized and cooperating whistleblower had FBI agents combing through his Maryland home for 6 hours after Cain told them he was cooperating on the investigation and then gave them the original documents of the copies he gave to congressional oversight members and Horowitz.
So into this fray, Hannity scheduled Cain, his lawyer Michael Socarras and another guest to speak about the potential criminal activity regarding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation and the Russian company that purchased Uranium One.
Horowitz was originally scheduled to testify on Wednesday to a House oversight committee chaired by Rep. Robert Goodlatte, but that hearing was postponed due to the federal holiday marking the death of the elder Bush.
The show had quite a buildup after it appeared President Trump sent this tweet out Monday night:
This could be the event that sparks TrumpTV. The former Fox News executive Bill Shine currently has the role of deputy chief of staff for communications and could be tapped to turn the URL TrumpTV into a government-run news program.
Trump tweeted this on Nov.26 after chastising CNN coverage:
Something has to be done, including the possibility of the United States starting our own Worldwide Network to show the World the way we really are, GREAT!
At this time it is not known what caused the last-minute change to Hannity’s programming and whether it will air Tuesday night.
