AG Barr: Epstein’s suicide to be probed

=================== SPECIAL SATURDAY POST ======================

So what is the fall out of Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex trafficker’s suicide  at the Metropolitan Correction Center Friday night?

Well a federal investigation should already have been launched by the Justice Department into its Federal Bureau of Prisons.

How does an inmate under a suicide watch have anything in his prison cell to hang himself?

And if Epstein was not under suicide watch, then when was that order made and by whom?

What I don’t want to hear, but I am awaiting the news is that the CCTV system was on the blink last night and we have no footage.

Americans also need to hear a timeline of the events. It appears the alleged hanging took place late Friday night and yet an FDNY ambulance was called after 6AM Saturday morning. How does a suicide watch surveillance have 6-hour windows when no one is watching the subject?

DOJ lawyers and FBI agents should be there now taking statements and gathering footage before a freak fire takes out any evidence. Any prison movement near Epstein’s cell should be noted as well.

Let’s face it, this should not have been able to occur, and yet it did.

Late addition, Attorney General William Barr issued the following statement.

“I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody. Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered. In addition to the FBI’s investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein’s death.”
