And so it begins.
On Monday the House Intelligence Committee will unveil its impeachment report to key lawmakers after weeks of testimony on President Trump’s handling of a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
While the Trump legal team strongly berates the process as “baseless and highly partisan inquiry,” White House counsel Pat Cipollone informed Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler that they will not participate in Wednesday’s hearing.
The Judiciary hearing on Wednesday will more than likely result in a somewhat partisan vote to pass along to the Senate articles of impeachment later this month.
As I wrote some months ago this is the hill the Democrats choose to die on.
