Dems may have chosen to die on Ukrainian hill

The Democrats will rue the day they day Ukraine became headline news against President Trump.

The country has a long history going back decades of being a base of operations for CIA covert operations. Ukraine was the gateway for US arms storage from the west and opium trafficking from the east.

Iran-Contra and just about every incursion in the Middle East since the 1967 Israeli War have CIA operations being run out of Ukraine.

So when ex-Veep Joe Biden says he told the Ukrainian president he would nix a billion dollar aid package if he did not fire a prosecutor looking into Hunter Biden’s involvement in an energy company, there is plenty of precedent for the leader to acquiesce.

So, as I wrote earlier this week we have Hunter Biden, Chris Heinz (step son of then Secretary of State John Kerry) and James Bulger (the nephew of the notorious mob hitman James “Whitey” Bulger) cutting energy deals in Ukraine and China.

Now we see Paul Pelosi Jr., son of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, running an energy partnership program out of the Ukraine through a company called NRGLabs Energy Partnerships, which is affiliated with Viscoil Group. In fact Nancy Pelosi appeared in a promotional video for the company.

The question is why do the offspring of top Democratic leaders show up in Ukraine hawking energy deals with absolutely no experience in the field?

For one thing energy these deals allow a company to ship heavy equipment into the country from the US with little suspicion of what may be contained in the containers.

Secondly, the deals also allow the firms to bring in foreign contractors to staff whatever the operation is with very little oversight.

Perhaps this is why the Democrats are so incensed by any potential investigation into Ukraine by its leader Volodymyr Zelensky, . Surely this is a better explanation than what is being proffered in the impeachment inquiry with Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Adam Schiff.
