Republican congressman Jim Jordan did not hold back Wednesday in his assessment of Silicon Valley’s treatment of conservative voices on the web.

“Big Tech is out to get conservatives” the Ohio Republican said about Google, Facebook, Amazon and Apple. “That’s not a suspicion, that’s not a hunch. That’s a fact.”

The silencing of voices on the right has many victims. Twitter, run by Jack Dorsey, took Grayseconomy’s feed down not long ago without any justification.

Dorsey was not at this hearing although Jordan did ask that he attend.

Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Alphabet –Google’s parent company — Jeff Bezos of Amazon and Mark Zuckerberg, CEO Facebook, Instagram and What’s Up, were in virtual attendance at the hearing.

The fact that this hearing was even held shows that censorship is a reality when it comes to conservative voices on social media.

Personally, I use WordPress to host this blog, two months ago WordPress stop counting people who find this blog through Gab.com and Parler.com, which are conservative-leaning social media sites.

I have also been shadow-banned on Twitter. My folllowers have told me on numerous ocassions that some of my postings did not reach them.

What will come of Thursday’s Congressional hearing?

Nothing.

The culture of Silicon Valley is too deeply ingrained in leftist ideology to change anytime soon. All we can hope for is to get these glimpses into their biases to bang the drum loudly that what you see on Facebook postings or Google search is not what many people in this country think.

I guess you could call this Congressional testimony the anti-social, social media hearing and nothing will change.

I’m not even sure many of my readers will see this post.
