Governor Andrew Cuomo wants all New Yorkers to follow “the science” when it comes to Covid, unless science frees them from his dictatorial reign.

On Thursday afternoon CDC Director Rochelle Walenksy announced, “Anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities – large or small — without wearing a mask or physically distancing.”

That was too much freedom for Cuomo and his Health Commissioner Howard Zucker, who feel they must review the ruling before granting New Yorkers anymore freedoms. Less than an hour after the CDC issued its recommendations Herr Cuomo issued this statement.

“In New York, we have always relied on the facts and the science to guide us throughout the worst of this pandemic and in our successful reopening,” Cuomo said.

“We have received the newly revised guidance from the CDC regarding mask wearing and social distancing for those with vaccinations and are reviewing them in consultation with Dr. Zucker and our partners and health experts in surrounding states.”

Even President Biden applauded the new “science” by saying, it’s “a great day for America. If you’ve been vaccinated, you don’t have to wear your mask and you can shake hands. You can even give each other a hug.”

So now Cuomo has debunked the “science” recommendations of both former President Trump — by allowing infected people back into nursing homes — and Biden in order to keep his relevance during the pandemic.

An ego left unchecked can be ruinous to all parties involved. New Yorkers need to remember that.
