How is it that 5 months after the shooting inside Capitol Hill we still do not know who killed Air Force veteran and Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt?
Despite anyone’s thinking on the “mostly peaceful protest”, the identity of the Capitol Hill police officer has never been mentioned in the press and the justification for the shooting on Jan. 6. has never been explained.
Last week the Babbitt family said they were suing Metropolitan Police Department in a $10 million lawsuit for the identity of the officer after the Justice Department determined it would not pursue criminal charges against the officer.
Yes the days after the protest the media screamed about the murder of another Capitol Hill police officer, who was allegedly attacked with a fire extinguisher and died the next day. Of course that was fake news as his family told the public he died of natural causes from a stroke.
Two other Capitol Hill police officers took their own lives in the days after Jan. 6 protest. I’m not sure if they were part of the law enforcement officers who actually allowed people into the Capitol Hill complex during the protest.
Well news broke on Tuesday that the Capitol Hill police officer in question who fired the fateful shot may have a bit of a checkered record including allegedly leaving his loaded firearm in a public bathroom.
So while Democrats claimed that the protest was fueled by white supremacists and call it an “insurrection” with President Joe Biden saying it was the “worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War,” why do we not know anything about the only killing on that day?
Every law enforcement officer who defended federal offices during the more than a year of Black Lives Matter protests has been vilified for their actions, but we know little about the motive behind the killing of Babbitt.
While many of the BLM protesters arrested for violence were soon released without bail, many Jan. 6th protesters remain in federal custody awaiting arraignment still.
Something does not ring true with this.
