Push back begins on de Blasio’s mandates

New York state Republicans lawmakers — led by Rep. Nicole Malliotakis — have petitioned Mayor Bill de Blasio to reverse his recent proof of vaccination mandate for indoor dining.

The pols are telling de Blasio that the mandate is too onerous on small businesses, who are already understaffed. These businesses also contend that the new mandate only throws more doubt into customers coming back.

“This ‘vaccine passport’ directive not only forces small businesses to deny service to their customers, but it prohibits large swaths of our communities from participating in regular society,” the petition states.

“It is clear to us and our constituents—most of whom have received the COVID-19 vaccine—that this directive represents an extraordinary level of government overreach,” the letter continued.

The reason no lawsuits have been brought yet against the highly questionable mandate is that City Hall has not laid out any real specifics on how the plan is to work. The program is supposed to begin enforcement on September 13.

No new details are expected this week since the Mayor is on vacation.

Over the weekend podcaster Joe Rogan chimed in with his scathing thoughts on vaccine mandates, “That’s what’s gonna happen with a vaccine passport. That’s what gonna happen if they close borders,” he continued, suggesting it could come a time when “You can’t enter New York City unless you have your papers.”

“Because when you give people freedom, you let them do whatever the f–k they want to do, they actually find ways to succeed and grow and thrive,” Rogan said.

“But as soon as you put the boots to them, as soon as you tell them, ‘You have to do this, or you can’t do that. You have to listen to me’ — now you have a mini dictator,” he insisted.

“You have one step away from a king. One step closer. You’re moving one step closer to dictatorship. That’s what the f— is happening,” groaned the podcaster, who previously admitted he was “not a respected source of information.”

Donald Trump Jr. shared the clip on social media saying, “Joe Rogan gets it.” in a tweet.
