Last week I wrote about what appeared to be a military operation in downtown Los Angeles.
In an extraordinary video of helicopters flying down Wilshire Blvd. and landing in front of a Guatemalan refugee aid office with about a dozen paramilitary offices extracting some materials from the building and then taking off again.
The operation was reportedly a training mission although many ex-military officers say that it is highly unlikely given the location (downtown LA) and the odds of something going awry and killing civilians.
These officials say that there are training locations set up in the desert for these types of operations and that there is not reason to execute this on Wilshire Blvd. unless it was live action to execute an operation against the Guatemalan refugee aid office.
I’m not sure how this exercise squares with the Posse Comitatus Act, which limits the powers of the federal government in using federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies. But suffice it to say that the helicopters did not belong to LAPD.
Well there is one more notice on this operation. The operation and extraction of assets occurred in Rep. Adam Schiff’s congressional district. I wrote Tuesday how Schiff was in the cross hairs of President Trump for his continuing to push for new Russian collusion probes despite a Senate panel and special counsel Bob Mueller finding no smoking gun linking the president to Russia.
Also we learned on Tuesday that Schiff, the chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, may be the subject of a FISA surveillance warrant, which allegedly will show he leaked classified information.
Not sure if these two news events have direct ties, but to my mind its more than coincidental.
