Welcome to the murder capital. Thank you New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Andrew Cuomo.

New York City has had more than 1,000 shootings in 2020 resulting in 350 deaths — a 27% increase from the year prior — according to the Mayor’s Management Report released on Thursday.

While many other major felonies are down due to the Covid-19 lock down because people are staying home —  including rape, a17% drop and grand larceny down 8% — burglaries actual jumped up 20% so far this year.

Gang violence soared 52% although the report does say if Antifa rioting is included in this statistic.

These are the numbers any city will see when the leadership chooses to defund and denigrate the police without a plan going forward.

I’m sure not one city residence envisioned this situation back when Cuomo spoke about his “Re-imagine New York” campaign back in the spring.

Will the last family leaving New York City please leave the lights on so future generations can discovery what a mess the democrats made of this once great town.
